A repository for my FFXIV characters and general info. I mean, what else were you expecting?

Tris Delaney

Age: 65
Race: Viera
Gender Identity: Nonbinary (they/them/any)

History: Born from the Golmore Jungles in Othard, Tris always had a penchant for adventure. Not being one to settle down, the moment Tris became of age to travel the lands, they left their tribe once sufficiently trained and went travelling around the surrounding islands. Their travels took them to lands such as Doma, where they would further refine their hand-to-hand martial arts they had been trained in and learnt Eastern monk traditions in fist fighting. It would be also where they would learn to more properly circulate aether, using the unlocking of chakra points to help ease the flow of aether already cultivated in the fires of constant conflict since a young age. Their adventures often involved facing the rather hazardous local populace to protect travellers or curb infestations of monsters. As the years went by however, it took its toll on Tris. After losing friends to monsters and other more ruthless adventurers and other tribulations, Tris hid away from society, wallowing in alcohol and depression in solitude.
However at age 30, Tris decided it was time to restart their life, they could just couldn't keep living like this. As such, taking the initiative for a different life, Tris left for Eorzea to forge themselves anew. Ending up in the lands of Ala Mhigo, it was once again a land torn with combat, in constant conflict with their surroundings including the Garleans especially. It was there that Tris became trained in the Ala Mhigan ways of the Red Mage and training with the remaining leftovers of the Rhalgr monks. Sharing a similar discipline of using ones own aether to circulate it and cast great magics, the already in combat experienced Tris found themselves fitting in like a glove with Red Magic and how it worked like the Monk traditions which he already experienced across Etheirys. With this, they found the combined force of fist & red magics to only further strengthen their resolve. As of recent, Tris has however begun to travel the lands much more, now residing in Thanalan and helping the resistance where they can, and taking on missions to aid the efforts of the locals, along with those that they had forged bonds with. All for the goal to better help those they had yet to save, for those they had lost.
Tris has since married a Viera local to them who is a healer, however they are both in an open relationship.
Personality: Calm or jovial, they're a down to earth person who enjoys seeing those they care about happy. Tris has a penchant for combat, but uses full force only when it serves a greater purpose and they are generally against the usual evil ilk. They do of course enjoy some humour in their life, often making sarcastic remarks, though in a more jovial tone, and will never pass up a time to tease a friend. On the other hand, there is much to be done in Eorzea so they rarely take a break to spend time with their friends, as such they cherish what little time they have. As for promiscuity...well, they're certainly no stranger to it, though they're more one to make someone feel comforted usually. Can be blunt though, they sometimes approach problems with a blunt naivety that only someone like they themselves would do.

Flowing (Flow) Strength

History: Born from the lands of Nagxia like many fellow Othardian Roegadyn brethren, Flow was never going to let them be tied down by the imperial grips of their land when they came to invade. A rebellious spirit from day one meant that they were always one to go wherever they could and no governing would stop him. As such he was less raised in a family than he was by the rebellion when the imperials came to invade his native lands.
Forged in fire and brimstone, he knew nothing except fighting with polearm in hand, training to fight against fellow people of the lands that threatened to take his lands. For many years his glaive would be stained in the blood of many imperials, along with the monsters faced while traveling in other regions around Othard to continue his efforts to beat back the Garleans and their conscripts. The only comraderie he knew were other warriors and fighters, or the pirates he would sail alongside when traveling around the nearby ocean.
It was only recently that after recent efforts in Eorzea that he decided to migrate to said continent and bring the fight closer to the Garlean homelands through the Eorzean efforts to push back their advances. It has been only recently after the efforts of Etheirys' combined attack against Garlemald that for once, he finds peace in his long running goal to protect the lands threatened by the imperials. However as a man that has known little else except the battlefield, peaceful roles in society weren't exactly his shtick and thus at current makes his coin in Eorzea as an adventurer. After all, there is always gil to be paid for a swift axe from a warrior honed through battle, his scars proof of the efforts.
Personality: Much like the Warriors of Abalathia's Spine, Flow has trained to release their inner strength and potential through the pressure of survival in the harsh conditions he has been through many times, always honing their martial prowess. However unlike the Warriors of Abalathia's Spine or The Taken, his rage is not one of fury. It is more akin to a battle trance, reaching a heightened state of calmness where their senses dull to pain while focusing on swinging their glaive at foes to his large body's greatest ability. As such, he is much calmer than one would anticipate from a typical Warrior, though no less dangerous.
When not on the battlefield, he mostly spends his time relaxing having a quiet drink or training to ensure he, much like his axe, never dulls.
By consequence however it also means his social skills are not terribly up to par, never being much a socialite. He is however as of late making an effort to better mesh into social society with the coming of peace now that the imperial menace no longer tramples the lands he fought so long to protect. At the very least, the coin acquired through his much fighting has seen some use for once and he enjoys dressing in Far Eastern clothing, reminding him of his home continent and a symbol of their influence despite imperial erosion.
